Description

El Día de los Muertos is a holiday traditionally celebrated by people of Mexican heritage which falls on either the 1st or 2nd of November, in correlation with the Catholic All Saints’ Day or All Souls’ Day.  Traditions include building private altars honoring the deceased decorated using sugar skulls, marigolds, figurines, old photos and favorite foods departed loved ones. Many believe that during this time it is easier for the souls of the departed to visit the living.
